Akihiro Ienaga Appeal Rejected

Argyle's appeal to get a work permit to sign Japanese international Akihiro Ienaga has been rejected.

The grounds on which they are given permits are to consider whether the player is of the highest calibre, and whether the player is able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in England.

Now it doesn't take a genius to see that this ruling only benefits those in the top division. A club like Argyle can't afford to buy players 'of the highest calibre' or players that will 'contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in England'. So the FA and our government are making the gap between the rich clubs and the not so rich bigger and bigger.

Argyle v Nottingham Forest

Should be a close game tomorrow. A few weeks ago I would have said that it was an easy win for Argyle but with Argyle's recent run of poor form and forest's run of good form, especially after Billy Davies took over has made it a lot closer game. My prediction is a tight 1-1 draw with Fallon getting the Argyle goal.

Crystal Palace Rearrangement

The league fixture with Crystal Palace has been rearranged for Tuesday February 17th at 7:45 pm. Trouble is that's my birthday and I was planning on going out for a meal with my parents. Oh well, may have to have a word with them.

Plymouth Argyle v Cardiff City

Good luck to the boys for tomorrows game. I'm annoyed because I can't get to the game and I don't have sky. Oh well I'll still follow the game somehow.

My score prediction is a tight 2-2 draw.
